Radisson Resort at the Port: A Review

Pin It Now! For our Disney Dream Cruise in September, my husband and I planned to go down to Port Canaveral a day early and started the search for the best place to stay. There are several options, but after some research we decided on the Radisson Resort at the Port. We booked the Park & Cruise Package, you can find details at

The package included a nights stay in a standard room with two queen beds, breakfast for two the morning of our cruise, shuttle service to and from the port, and parking for our vehicle for four nights.

When we arrived to the hotel (it is a big hotel but I wouldn't exactly call it a resort) we were welcomed by the front desk attendant and quickly checked in. They went over our package details and what we needed to do for breakfast and getting to the shuttle. I had prearranged our shuttle time, so that was all set up. They also explained where to move our car the next morning for parking. We were given our room keys and informed that we had been upgraded to a two room suite...Sweet!

The room was very nice and had a lot of space. It was just the two if us, but had our kids been with us this room would have been more than big enough for all four if us. We found a great little Italian restaurant down the road for a nice dinner before settling in for the night. But not before I enjoyed a soak in the jacuzzi.

The next morning we enjoyed a buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was good, but not great. Then again I'm not a breakfast eater, so it may be better than I thought. My husband enjoyed it. The restaurant was very nice and quiet and the staff were very attentive. We spoke a bit with the two other families dining there and discovered we were all heading to the same cruise and one family was actually from our home state and lived very near us.

After breakfast we gathered our luggage from the room and went to check in with the shuttle captain. After a short wait we were loaded and headed to the port. When we returned from the cruise three days later the shuttle was right there when we debarked and returned us to the resort actually dropping us right at our car.

Over all it was a great hotel, I would definitely stay there again and would suggest it to anyone planning a cruise departing from Cape Canaveral.
